A little background on me...

​During my teens I struggled with anorexia/bulimia, laxative dependency, binge eating/purging and excessive exercise disorder. I had an extremely unhealthy relationship with food and the way in which I treated my body and doing endless hours of cardio each day

I was fixated on the number on the scales and eating as little calories as possible (usually under 1200) in my aim to be 'skinny'.

I believed that to be accepted and to love myself I needed to be thin. Apparently being thin would mean I would be happy right? Wrong!

In my early 20's I started seeing a naturopath who put me in the right direction and onto my very first health book "you are what your eat". This was life changing and I started viewing my food as fuel and also as medicine to prevent illness.

I also signed up to with a personal trainer, working on strength I learnt a whole new love for fitness and that my body was capable of more than just cardio.


Following this in my late 20's I was diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), Hashimotos Disease, Hypothyroidism (Underactive Thyroid), Anxiety and Depression and more recently Postnatal Depression. 

My studies, along with doing my own research and listening to my body over the years I have learnt how to adapt my lifestyle, nutrition and exercise to increase my metabolism, keep my weight stable and live a healthy more balanced lifestyle. I am finally free of my unhealthy relationship with my body and no longer use food and exercise as a form of punishment. I now aim to move my body most days and enjoy 2-3 gym sessions a week.  

I don't count calories or macros but instead eat a varied diet full of fresh, nutritious wholefoods. I follow a gluten free diet, consume minimal dairy and red meat and nourish my body with plenty akalising foods.

​I hope that by sharing my knowledge, experiences and expertise I can also show you how to create new habits and behaviours and be healthy, fit and happy,and live your best life!
