Pregnancy & Postnatal Exercise

MUMMYFIT

Mums & Bubs Fitness

MUMMYFIT is a 60 minute outdoor group fitness session. Combining cardio with traditional and functional strength and resistance exercises in various interval and circuit style workouts. Designed  to strengthen your glutes, legs, upper body, and core in order to recover from pregnancy, improve posture and prevent injury.

It is particularly important postnatally to increase pelvic floor, glute and core strength, and to perform exercises which will assist in the reduction of diastasis recti, lower back and pelvic pain.

All levels of fitness are accommodated with regression and progression exercises given so that you can work at your own pace or energy level that day. High and low Impact  variations to suit your fitness level and stage of recovery or pregnancy.

Postnatal clients are welcome from 6 weeks with clearance from your doctor and 12 weeks if you have had a caesarean. Pregnant women and ladies who are yet to become mummy's are also welcome to come along.

The sessions are held undercover with a play pen available for your little one to play on a mat or be included in the session.

All you need to bring is a towel, water bottle and yoga mat if you have one.

Spots are limited to ensure we keep it 'small group' so don't forget to register prior to coming.

I look forward to welcoming you and your little one's down :)

Pre and Post-Natal Exercise

A Time for Self-Care

There are many benefits of exercising during pregnancy including maintaining a level of fitness assisting you in labour, improved muscle tone and strength, increased self-esteem and well-being, weight control, stress release, and enables a quicker return to fitness post birth to name just a few.

Exercise during the post-natal period is known to improve your well-being and confidence - playing a big part in overcoming the 'baby blues' and also assisting in the prevention of postnatal depression.

While exercise pre and postnatally is encouraged, I understand the associated implications and risks that need to be considered. With my knowledge and experience I am able to offer the most effective exercise programming to my clients where you will enjoy the benefits of exercise while ensuring your own and children's safety.

I take on clients at all stages of pregnancy and postnatally from 6 weeks with clearance from your doctor.
